On weekend

I could have full time at DC on this weekend. On Saturday, we went to see Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, and Korean War Memorial firstly. I imaged Hiroshima and Nagasaki Memorial which shows the scar of WW2 in Japan and I thought wars remain a lot of scars on countries where they are occurred.

I have no time to continue this comment now so I will do next time. I am sorry…

Hi Yuki!

So the memorials we went to see on Saturday reminded you of scars from the pain that fighting caused? They are certainly there to remind us of that, but I also think that they are made to show that such pain can be overcome.

I think the image of wars leaving countries scarred is very apt. Even when the war has not been fought in the country itself, the scars are there in the people who fought and/or who lost relatives and loved ones in the war.

I have never thought about them from such aspects, Laura. If they are made for what you said, I think we should never forget about these victims and their relatives. They may be also made for remind us about them forever.
